A4 80 nut made from 316-grade stainless steel for ultimate corrosion resistance.  Our Marine-Grade A4 stainless steel metric nuts provide maximum corrosion resistance for salt-water marine environments.  Indeed, the superior corrosion resistance of these A4 grade nuts make them a great choice for sailing, motor boating and other water-sports applications.

A4 80 nuts are also well suited to 4x4 and off-roading uses for their long-term corrosion resistance.  The key dimensions of our stainless steel nuts are given in the images for each size.  There are a number of different kinds of metric nut, these are full-nuts, meaning they are full-height.  Alternatively there is a kind of nut called a half-nut (which are more rare) which are used as locking nuts.

Our A4 80 full-nuts are free turning on any standard metric bolt or set-screw.  Alternatively if you need a nut with additional resistance to coming loose you might want to consider our Nyloc nuts instead.  Another way to keep nuts and bolts from coming loose is to use a spring-washer under the nut.

Good practice is to normally put a washer under the nut, we have regular washers and also 'penny' washers which are larger and can be used where more load-spreading is needed.
