Product Description

A4 countersunk set screws with raised slot-drive head.  The material grade of these stainless steel set screws is A4-70.  The A4-70 grade represents a tensile strength of 700 Newtons per square mm, similar to a standard high-strength steel bolt, but not as high as the highest steel bolt grades.

Use these raised slot countersunk head screws with your deck fittings for a traditional look.  It is more common these days to use hex-drive countersunk screws, and we have those as well.  The choice comes down to a compromise over the convenience of the hex-drive vs the elegance of the raised slot-drive head.

These A4 raised countersunk set screws are suitable for general structural applications where resistance to corrosion and staining is needed.  Use A4 stainless fixings for boats and marine equipment for the best corrosion resistance.

See our 'Thread And Bolt Selection' guide for further information on set-screw or bolt threads and length definitions.  Also, see our 'Stainless Steel Material Guide' for a discussion of A2 vs A4 stainless steel grades.

In addition to these raised slot countersunk head screws, we also stock cap-head and pan-head bolts / set-screws.  You may also need some A4 stainless locking nuts and penny washers for the underside of the joint.
