A4 stainless steel self-tapping screws, with slot-csk head.  Our Marine-Grade A4 stainless steel countersunk slot-drive self-tapping screws provide maximum corrosion resistance for marine environments.  

Use our stainless self-tapping screws for attaching boat deck hardware into wood and fibre-glass.  The self-tapping threads make them ideal for fixing into fibre-glass, hard-wood, soft-wood and marine ply wood.

In many cases, deck fitting cannot be bolted, due to lack of access on the underside of the deck.  This is where self-tapping screws are ideal.  For more structural fittings such as cleats and fairleads we would recommend a nut and bolt fixing instead.

These stainless self-tapping screws have countersunk-head style and are suited to fittings with countersunk holes. Alternatively, use our pan-head self-tapping screws instead, for fittings without countersunk holes.

When using our stainless self-tapping screws it is essential to drill and pilot hole first.  First measure the core diameter of the screw (this is the diameter of the solid shank of the screw).  The pilot hole should match the core diameter, if in doubt doing a test fitting on a spare piece of material is a good idea.
