Product Description

Stainless steel turnbuckles / rigging screws, manufactured from 316 (marine-grade) stainless.  Complete with machined fork-ends and clevis pins, these turnbuckles are used for tensioning wire ropes.  At each end of the turnbuckle is a fork-end complete with clevis pin and ring-pin for securing.

Use our turnbuckles for applying tension to stainless steel wire ropes.  The turnbuckle consists of a central bottle screw with a right hand thread and one end, and a left-hand thread at the other.  At each end of the turnbuckle is a threaded fork end with clevis pin.

Alternative end types are available for our stainless turnbuckles, such as threaded eye ends.  Also use our stainless steel shackles if you are struggling to find a good way of connecting the end of your turnbuckle.

If you are making wire rope assemblies for attaching between posts, take a look at our pad-eyes and stud mounting brackets.  Also take a look at our custom wire rope builder for making swaged wire rope assemblies.

Set up the turnbuckle by first unscrewing each end fitting a similar amount.  Then assemble the turnbuckle at one end of your wire rope assembly, creating as little slack as possible.  Finally, tighten the turnbuckle by turning the central bottle screw while keeping the fork ends from turning.  When you are happy with the tension, tighten the locking nuts against the bottle screw to keep everything secure.

  • 316 stainless steel turnbuckle
  • With machined fork ends
  • Choice of metric sizes

Our turnbuckles come in a range of sizes.  When you select a size you will see a table of dimensions including the fully closed and fully open lengths between pins.
